Read MoreI found this course very useful as a reminder of the basics and learning new, interesting questions to ask in the brief. Mitch's insight into the why and the follow-up questions will be invaluable to make candidate attraction easier. Most recruiters know they need to arm themselves with more information, but without being handed it, it's difficult to know exactly what that is. Similarly, we're often mostly stuck with the individual hiring managers perspective on hiring. With the new questions I have to ask, I'm sure I will strengthen my client relationships and find it easier to fill some of those harder-to-fill roles.

Read MoreI knew lots of this from previous training I've done with Mitch, but it's easy to fall back into bad habits and this was exactly what I needed as a refresher, and more. If you invest time here at the start of the process and nail your brief, then you will make your life easier further down the hiring process. You can also build credibility with clients by standing out, most recruiters do not go into this level of detail and ask these sorts of questions. The Copy Platform document at the end is also great, it gives you a template to work with in the future. Thanks Mitch!

Read MoreI did the copywriting course with Mitch and Jackie in London around six years ago, and it completely changed how I thought about advert writing and content production. I'd begun to figure out a lot of what was in this course because it made sense to ask questions that would draw out all the inspiration I'd need to write better adverts, posts, emails and call content. So, I'd say I was 80% of the way there, and this course got me closer to the 100% I'm striving for. I've made a good career by taking strong briefs and writing attention-grabbing content; over 50% of my placements now come from this route. The applications come from top-level passive candidates and the usual active ones that a half-decent advert will attract. If I'd had this course alongside the copywriting one, I'd have cracked the code more quickly. So, in short, the course is great for everyone, but especially those earlier in their journey who care about standing out, efficiently filling jobs and focusing on what your candidates want.

Read MoreDoubtless there will be many Senior Recruiters out there who think they're past doing a short Course on "Taking the Job Brief". I like to go back to the basics, which this does. For anyone entering a role where they will need to take jobs briefs for the first time, it's essential. For those Senior Recruiters, it's also essential. I certainly picked up more than one or two things I should have been consciously thinking about all along. I feel like the course reinforced a lot of the basics, which I might sometimes miss out or that didn't enter my conscious process the first or even second time I learned them. That's important. Just as important, especially since I've got a briefing over Teams in a couple of hours: I now know a few more ways to get the answers I knew I wanted but couldn't always uncover. As well as a few more tricks to get those hiring managers to understand why it's important I get this information. It'll make it all much smoother, it'll make me seem like more of an expert and I'm pretty sure I'll make better Job ads, and cover more ground with candidates afterwards. Yes, you do also get a list of questions to ask hiring managers at the end, some of which you won't be asking at all, and not just because you've forgotten.

Read MoreThis course helped me refresh a lot of what I first learned on the Personal Programme as they are linked. For you to write good job ads you need some juice, and Taking the Job Brief is your chance to squeeze some oranges to get that juice. Then go sell juice, get some people who want to drink it and everyone wins.

Read MoreThe course was really useful and insightful. The content is informative and is broken up into easily digestible parts so you’re not bogged down with loads of reading. It’s a nice blend of videos, blogs and text and the ‘interesting questions’ were really good. There were loads that I’d never thought of asking before, so definitely looking forward to using them.
